Affinity Partnership Proves Beneficial for IKECA and Its Members
By: Sarah Hagy, Executive Director, International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA)
The International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) recognized the need for internal debt recovery assistance. After exploring many options and exercising due diligence, we decided to engage in an partnership with Altus, which has proven extremely beneficial to our organization and our members.
First and most importantly, IKECA has established an Affinity Partnership, a value-added program with Altus that benefits our members by securing past due monies for their company and a royalty program that gives back to their organization which in turn serves their needs.
Secondly, as an Altus customer, we receive the benefits of their expert collection services. Traditional collection approaches could potentially damage customer relationships. However, Altus’ approach is strategic and carefully calculated. Their results-driven strategy secures past due monies while allowing members to maintain positive and important business relationships with their customers.
One of our members, 360 services, became an Altus client less than three months ago. They report that Altus has collected nearly half of the $87,544 it’s placed so far and that they are pleased with the exceptional communication and with how well their accounts are being worked.
Thirdly, our members have peace-of-mind by knowing they are working with an agency their association knows and trusts. All collection agencies are not created equal. There are many that either don’t operate legally or use unscrupulous tactics to collect unpaid debt- methods we don’t want used with our members’ customers. Because of our history and experience with Altus, our members have the benefit of knowing they are working with an agency that is properly licensed and bonded and operates under the highest ethical standards. If an association you belong to is looking for an agency to provide a strategic approach to collecting past due accounts, I strongly recommend a partnership such as the one IKECA has established with Altus. Altus acts as an extension of our association and our members’ businesses. By leveraging the company’s professional team and experience, IKECA is free to do what we do best – take kitchen exhaust cleaning to a higher standard.
