Commercial Law League of America and International Association of Commercial Collectors

Altus is currently only one of 20 agencies that are certified by the prestigious CLLA and endorsed by the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC). Since 1895, the CLLA has provided legal, educational and professional services to business and credit communities.

Through its affiliation with the CLLA and IACC, Altus assists in developing and promoting the highest level of standards in all areas of the receivables management industry, including policies, credit extension practices, receivables and collection management, litigation management and bankruptcy issues. We help advocate for our clients by establishing best practices and staying abreast of the latest industry trends.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Altus has achieved Type II Certification with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ for meeting rigorous criteria regarding its controls and processes, policies, procedures, personnel and operational activities.

After meeting the quality, security, confidentiality, compliance and safety-related requirements, Altus was awarded this distinguished achievement.

Service Organization Control

The Service Organization Control 1 and 2 is an evolution of the obsolete SSAE 16. Altus successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II audits. This type of audit is required for public companies who outsource services and is good business practice for all companies.

These comprehensive certifications verify Altus’ commitment to uphold the strongest accounting and security protocols. SOC 1 certifies that a service organization’s controls are suitably designed and implemented in line with Federal regulations. Whereas, SOC 2 service auditor reports focus on a service organization’s non-financial reporting controls as they relate to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. This extensive reporting standard provides independent validation that Altus’ internal control environment operations in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) trust services principles and criteria.
